Partnear is engaged by Council to deliver the structural and civil design of this major renewal project. We worked with the architects and building services engineers to propose the new steel and concrete structure for the building while maintaining the existing facade, decking and other surrounds to existing conditions.

A unique complication of the project is the requirement of multiple legal points of discharge that have become necessary in order to maintain the existing facade and to cater for the significant drop in elevation from the site of site to the rear of property. Stormwater storage was required and provided by a hidden underground storage tank. A central open lightwell area introduced further drainage complications that the Partnear team worked through with the building surveyor for design and approval.
